Portfolio Review

Joined a bright crew of 30 + art buyers & photo editors at ASMP's portfolio review at Tribeca Skyline, and met with a range of established and aspiring photographers; here are the highlights from those I met.

Still life: Sabine Scheckel, www.sabinescheckel.com
No doubt that Sabine has her lighting system down, the effect is vivid color and a strong graphic style. Already shooting for a steady stream of clients, and I can see why.

Portrait: John Loomis, www.johnloomis.com
A native Floridian, John began his career as a photojournalist and now splits his time between Florida, New York and everywhere his assignments take him.  Charming and determined, I sense he can talk his way into any situation he wants to photograph.

When not fulfilling assignments, David began a modest project which may become his major opus. The Inventor Portraits.  I'm not sure how many inventors he's documented to date, but this is clearly a body of work which, when catalogued and published, will provide a rich study of the time we live in.
