Another Inspiration, or....???
Sharp-eyed SPD student member Travis J. Bonilla passes along this recent example of "inspired" cover design. On the left, the current issue of Rolling Stone's Brazil edition. On the right, the September 2008 cover of Esquire.We're not sure about the extent of the "inspiration" on this one, but it seems like it's time for some new approaches to hand-crafted cover typography!

maybe the handwritten coverlines are 'inspired' by Esquire but as far as i know is Esquire's typical way of intergrating the coverlines in the backgroud 'inspired' by Rolling Stone mag out of 1996: http://www.coverjunkie.com/blog/rolling-dennis-rodman/3/1847
but i'm curious if this is correct, havent seen it before though
