Herb Lubalin Retrospective #1: Fact

Herb Lubalin Retrospective #1: Fact To celebrate this weekend's Herb Lubalin Then and Now symposium, SPD will be posting a three-day celebration of the magazine cover designs of one of our favorite art directors and typographers. First up is Fact magazine, first published in 1964 and running for 25 issues. Lubalin was the art director, and generally hired a different illustrator to do all the art for each issue. It looks like free tickets are still available for this event, at Cooper Union in NYC. The first night features a panel discussion with Louise Fili, Steven Heller, George Lois, and more.

See 10 of our favorite Fact covers on the next page.
