Graphic Designer, The Penn Stater Magazine
- Job Description:
The Penn Stater magazine seeks a skilled graphic designer to help design and produce a bimonthly magazine. Duties include designing magazine sections and occasional features; conducting photo research; preparing digital files for prepress; formatting print content and optimizing images for online use; trafficking files through the production process; and participating in brainstorming and planning discussions with art director and editorial staff. The magazine staff is creative, team-oriented, and committed to producing one of the best publications of its kind.

- Job Requirements:
Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in design or related discipline, plus two years of work-related experience. Also requires strong typography skills, an understanding of all phases of print design and production, and a solid working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, and InDesign on a Macintosh platform. Skill in photo retouching and editing a plus.
The successful candidate must possess exemplary interpersonal skills and demonstrate a genuine appreciation in working with diverse audiences.
