Art Director, StoryRiver Media

• Job Description:
  The Art Director is responsible for designing and directing the design of sophisticated and engaging interactive stories. The ideal candidate will have strong visual communication skills, (typography, layout composition, photo editing, and illustration) with an emphasis on user interface and interactive design. Understanding of animation, motion graphics, and programing languages is a must as are the ability to work collaboratively and to hire and motivate well.  Responsibilities include designing compelling prototypes of multimedia stories as well as interactive pieces with integrated video/audio, focusing on end user experience. Conduct design research. Build a network of illustrators, photographers and animators to collaborate on developing a new, fresh and exciting approach to multimedia storytelling. Must present his/her work well and defend it in both small and large meetings. Strong persuasive skills and an ability to influence are required. Must be flexible, and challenge-oriented, able to excel in a fast-paced environment. Must bring a spirit of teamwork to their projects.
