Photo Assistants - Freelance, MTV Digital

• Job Description:
  MTV.com is looking for a self-motivated, photo assistant with at least 2-3 years photo editing experience with an online portfolio demonstrating these skills. Applicants be prepared to present examples of prior retouching projects. Candidate must have strong retouching and editing skills and possess a BFA in photography or related field. Advanced knowledge of Photoshop required, Illustrator preferred, combined with excellent organizational and communication skills. A keen knowledge of pop culture is also essential. The flexibility to quickly switch between tasks and produce at the highest level is key. May have to work occasional nights/weekends. Responsibilities include: Work on MTV in-house projects, including shows and live events and blogs. Update photo studio calendar for in-house photo shoots. Organize image archive. Maintain inventory and order studio supplies when needed. Follows standards and structures established by senior team members. Takes personal responsibility and ownership for each project they're assigned to.
