Full-time Freelance Photo Researcher

• Job Description:
  Responsibilities include: * Concept/research images for stories * Collaborate with art department and edit staff. * Obtain proper licensing and ensure PR image approval * Negotiate rates with photographers + stock agencies * Track usage for monthly cost report meetings * Take notes during art planning meetings * Input photo credits * Process invoices * Help manage interns and daily needs of the department Requirements: * GREAT eye for creative photography; efficient and focused, with strong research skills. * Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines and roll with last-minute changes. * Be a proactive problem solver. * Have excellent communication/organizational skills. * Be familiar with wide array of photographers and agencies, experience negotiating rates and usage rights. * Work in women's lifestyle or celebrity title highly desired * Digital photography knowledge a plus To apply, please send resume, cover letter and 10 applicable examples to ghartjobs@hearst.com.
