Art Director

• Job Description:
  Looking for a highly motivated person capable of multitasking in a very fast pace environment to join our team. You would be responsible for a weekly newspaper, one monthly newspaper and a monthly magazine. Excellent communication skills a must. Responsible for: -Execute all layouts within the publication. Flow all copy, design features and covers. -Meet with editors to discuss art/design concepts on a per issue basis. -Hire illustrators and photographers. -Color correct photographs. Process files for the printer. -Work within publication art budgets. -Able to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Job Requirements: Minimum of 5 years experience in magazine design. Expert knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and working knowledge of K4 or other content management system. Strong attention to detail and communication a must. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to juggle multiple assignments and deadlines. Tabloid or newspaper experience a plus.
