Out Magazine: Art Department Internship, Spring 2012
Out Magazine is looking for a motivated Art intern with a passion for editorial design to work 2-3 full days a week during the Spring semester. Intern will work closely with the associate art director and will be responsible for assisting with front of book design and illustrations, photo and concept research, updating the mock-up book, attending meetings, and possibly assisting on still-life and celebrity photo shoots. Prior design experience preferred. This is an UNPAID internship. However, candidates are eligible for college credit if approved. Working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign required.

New York Magazine - Weddings New York Magazine is currently seeking a Freelance Jr. Production Designer to assist in the design and production of the Weddings Spring 2012 issue.The ideal candidate for this position should have 3+ years of experience in editorial design/production and familiarity working with this type of content. Very thorough knowledge of K4 Publishing System and CS5 is a must as well as excellence in handling complex page design and typography.
This position will work very closely with the Art Director, photo editors and editors under tight deadlines. Conde Nast Internship Opportunity: Details/Photo
Conde Nast is offering a highly competitive and educational photo editorial internship for the Spring 2012 semester at Details magazine. The ideal Candidate should major in photography and have a keen interest in the multi-media industry. S/he should be at least, a college sophomore who will be able to receive credit for participating in this program. The Intern Program will allow students to gain exposure to the industry and will provide a real-world experience that can be a supplement to classroom studies.Specifically, an ideal Details intern candidate will be organized, responsible, and able to multi-task. New York Magazine is offering an unpaid internship in the photography department for school credit only.We are looking for someone organized, dedicated and excited to learn how a photo department at a weekly magazine operates. Interns should be very comfortable and effective communicating over the phone, in person, and via e-mail. Experience researching images with stock agencies a plus but not required. Photography, art communications majors or an interest in photography and editing preferred.
Interns should have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently, as well as take directions and work as part of a team.
