    JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Design innovative, dynamic feature and front-of-book layouts for print and tablet editions under the supervision of the Art Director. • Follow assigned stories through entire production process (image choice, layout, print orders, page files, page proofs). • Commission illustrations. • Help select an issue's color palette and manage color tests.

  • Job Requirements: SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Candidates will have: • A degree in graphic design from an accredited design school. • Solid editorial design experience on print publications and, ideally, tablet editions. • Proficiency in InDesign and Illustrator is a must. Knowledge of Woodwing and Photoshop is a plus. • A strong understanding of and passion for typogaphy. ADDITIONAL QUALITIES Candidates will have: • Solid organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. • A willingness to work the hours necessary to meet deadlines. • An enthusiastic, collaborative disposition and be a flexible, adaptable team player. • A strong interest in and appreciation of the magazine's subject matter.
