  • Job Description: and The Sales Planner position is an internal sales role responsible for managing digital and integrated advertising programs on's many platforms. The primary objective is to manage, maintain and grow revenue across the Bay Area and a Northwest territory account list, including both established and new business. Successful candidates will have some traditional AND digital media experience along with strong interpersonal skills. They will work closely with client and agency contacts on a daily basis to provide solutions to client marketing needs. The Sales Planner must also work collaboratively with numerous internal constituencies across a complex organization, including print colleagues on cross platform programs. Ideally, this candidate will have their sites set on being a full-time, outside Sales Executive. Consequently, while helping to sell and manage existing campaigns for the Sr. Sales Executives, this position will also prospect and sell its own list of advertisers. The ideal candidate must be a creative and strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills who brings energy and enthusiasm to the position. Effective candidates will be highly organized, independent, proactive and able to thrive in a high volume, fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Include: Effectively manage multiple campaigns running concurrently throughout are many content channels Expertly manage clients needs, and expectations on a daily business. Evangelize and differentiate the Fortune brand and products to the greater advertising community. • Maintain and grow territory and account revenue to exceed revenue goals. • Build and maintain strong relationships in the local advertising community. • Assist all steps in the sales process from prospect identification through deal closing or account renewal. • Collaborate effectively with print counterparts (Money & Fortune magazines) as well as & CNN TV counterparts on larger integrated programs. • Work effectively with internal teams, including marketing and ad operations to develop creative ideas and see them through from inception to execution. • Deliver timely reporting and updates to management on revenue tracking to goal. • Oversee end-to-end execution of all aspects of post-sale process - from deal signing to campaign implementation and complete delivery. • Resolve all account issues as they arise and escalate concerns as necessary.

  • Job Requirements: Requirements: • 3+ years of Digital Media Experience • Proven track record of consistently meeting goals. • Established relationships in digital media with understanding of categories including but not limited to automotive, financial services, retail, technology, telecom, and travel. • Passion for financial services category and B2B advertising. • Demonstrated history of strategic thinking including experience • Demonstrated ability to understand complex negotiations and areas of leverage for Fortune and its products. • Experience coordinating and selling integrated media / multi-platform programs preferred. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including developed presentation ability. • Ability to multi-task and deliver against deadlines. • Strong computer skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel required. Experience working within a CRM tool (i.e. Salesforce) preferred.
