The core responsibilities of the Digital Image Specialist are to showcase our research, teaching, public service, education, corporate relations, quality of life and university facilities for a broad range of use through photography and digital images and to constantly improve the images that tell the UB Story; to showcase our strategic strengths at a high artistic and asthetic level; support the growth of social media vehicles, social media strategies, and investigate and develop new or improved services for the unit. Senior Photo Producer
Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia is in search of a Senior Photo Producer to work on primarily one of its magazines. Under the guidance of the Photography Director, the Senior Photo Producer is responsible for maintaining a consistent photographic identity for the publication as well as scheduling and producing photography shoots and updating the photography calendars. Responsibilities: ·Oversee the production and scheduling of all photography stories in collaboration with the Deputy Photo Editor, art department and story teams ·Help maintain monthly photo shoot calendars for publishing ·Create and manage budgets ·Manage the invoicing processes and procedures, including approvals, coding and resolving discrepancies between photographers, vendors and accounting ·Hire photographers for stories, obtains estimates; assure that final invoices match estimate, work with junior photo editors to ensure invoices are coded, tracked, processed correctly for above publishing businesses · Hire illustrators for stories. Negotiate rates appropriate for budget and ensure art is received in a timely fashion · Book travel for location shoots · Hire models and hair/make-up stylists, and scout locations as necessary for publishing. Track and maintain model and location releases, and provide certificates of insurance when necessary for all publishing stories. Obtain stylist contracts for hair/make-up stylists as necessary Work with Studio Manager daily to allocate studio space in all in house shoots. In the event that in-house studios are all occupied, research outside studio locations and make necessary bookings/confirmations. Negotiate with outside studios and locations for best possible rate, and take care of all respective paperwork Requirements: - 8+ years experience producing/editing for fashion/lifestyle shoots - Experience creating and managing budgets - Excellent relationships with photographers and industry contacts - A strong background in food photography is a plus - Highly organized, efficient, and resourceful
