M. Shanken Communications- Photo Department Intern (unpaid)

The Photo department intern will assist the photo departments of Wine Spectator, Cigar Aficionado, Food Arts and Market Watch magazines in logging in/out photos, returning photos to photographers, sending out invoice requests, mailing out complimentary issues, photo research, calling in photos from outside sources, propping for photo shoots, attending photo shoots and general office duties. It is a good opportunity for someone who has an interest in learning about how a magazine is produced and wants to learn more about editorial photography. By working on the four magazines, you will be exposed to travel, still life, food, life style and fashion photography. In depth knowledge of photography is not necessary but a general understanding of digital photography and resolution is a plus. We are looking for someone who can commit 25-30 hours a week.
