ART DIRECTOR WWE Magazine WWE Magazine has an immediate opening for a senior level Art Director to act as deputy to the Creative Director at the company's Stamford, CT headquarters. The ideal candidate is a strong, organized leader who is comfortable art directing and managing the work flow of the art department. Duties include designing editorial pages for all sections of the magazine and its digital versions on smartphones and iPads, conceptualizing and assigning illustrations, directing photography, collaborating closely with editors. Excellent typographic skills are a huge bonus, as is a flare for the organization of complex page designs that retain the consistent visual identity of the WWE worldwide brand. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience working for a monthly newsstand magazine. Job responsibilities include designing pages for all departments of the magazine, from front-of-book sections and lifestyle pieces to feature stories and fashion spreads. Experience in conceptualizing, assigning and art directing illustrations and information graphics a must. This individual has excellent typographic and design skills and should excel at working both independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. Knowledge of magazine production and a good understanding of retouching and pre-press is preferred. Skills: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator (CS3).
