Associate Art Director, NYLON

NYLON magazine has an immediate opening for an Associate Art Director. They will collaborate with the fashion, editorial, and photo departments on story ideas, shoot direction, and design concepts, assign illustrations, and work on the design of our iPad app. This person should possess excellent typography skills and a minimum of three years magazine experience. They should be able to work confidently and meticulously in a team, and under tight deadlines, with occasional long hours. This is a rewarding and exciting position for an enthusiastic candidate willing to invest time and passion into a publication with a reputation for nurturing young talent; it's a lot of hard work, but a lot of fun, too. NYLON MAGAZINE, SENIOR DESIGNER

NYLON magazine has an immediate opening for a Senior Designer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing feature stories and packages, as well as front of book fashion and beauty pages. They will collaborate with the art, fashion, editorial, and photo departments on story ideas, shoot direction, and design concepts, assign illustrations, and work on the design of our iPad app (experience designing for tablets is a plus). This person should possess excellent typography skills, a thorough foundation in ADOBE CS and a minimum of two years magazine experience. They should be able to work confidently and meticulously in a team, and under tight deadlines, with occasional long hours. This is a rewarding and exciting position for an enthusiastic candidate willing to invest time and passion into a publication with a reputation for nurturing young talent; it's a lot of hard work, but a lot of fun, too. DESIGNER, NYLON MAGAZINE

NYLON magazine is currently seeking a designer to join the NYLON team. Responsibilities include the design of front of book fashion and beauty sections as well as feature stories. Strong typographic skills are a must, including the ability to illustrate type and letterforms. Must be proficient with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. 1-3 years magazine experience preferred. Experience designing for the iPad and working with the Woodwing platform a plus.
