Marketing Designer

NYLON Magazine is looking for a Marketing Designer for immediate hire. The Marketing Designer is responsible for all creative services within the Advertising and Marketing departments. The ideal candidate should have experience designing event collateral for in-store, private and red-carpet events (invitations, posters and step-and-repeats). Other main duties include laying out and mocking up for proposals (RFP), sales decks, and sell-sheets. The Marketing Designer works closely with the Ad sales team to design and execute unique advertising campaigns. You will also work closely with the Art and Web departments to aid in designing in-book promotions/ads, advertorials, e-blasts and graphics for our e-newsletters.

You must be a strong designer with a keen eye for aesthetics and typography, as well as familiar with the NYLON publication.  We're looking for an excited intern who is a fast learner and self-motivated with a can-do attitude! Must be flexible, detail-oriented, hands-on, pro-active, and have good multi-tasking and time management skills. All candidates should be currently enrolled in a college/university (or be a recent graduate) in an Art/Design/Studio Art program, and must have access to and bring their own laptop each day. All internships are unpaid, can be for school credit, and can be for full or part-time. This is a semester-long internship that will start from January 2011 and end in May 2011. Interns must be available to work at least 2-3 full days during the week. This is a New York, NY internship.
