Art Director

Ink, the world's leading publisher of inflight magazines, is seeking an experienced Art Director who will oversee the design of Go, the award-winning inflight magazine for AirTran Airways, and EnViva, the bimonthly inflight for Viva Aerobus. Our ideal candidate is passionate about magazine design and able to create bold, stylish layouts that are accessible to a broad audience. We expect the Art Director will excel at creating refined typography and sophisticated templates. He or she will have at least five years of design experience on a consumer magazine, with a minimum of two spent as a magazine Art Director. Experience with a travel magazine is a plus. The candidate should have a good eye for strong photography and illustration and have excellent existing relationships with photographers and illustrators around the world. Candidates should be experienced at trafficking pages through all stages of production, able to work on a small team and very deadline-oriented. Must have advanced InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator skills. Our editorial office provides a friendly, creative environment with an enthusiastic staff. This job is located in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Relocation is not offered, so local applicants are preferred. Penton Media ART Intern

The Penton Electronics Group of Penton Media is interested in starting an 
internship program for any interested Design students who would like the
 opportunity of having professional experience at a New York City media 
company.



We would like to have an intern with experience in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and
 Photoshop commit up to 20 hours a week here in our NY Chelsea office. Experience with video editing, Flash or Web
based software would also be helpful but not mandatory.



The intern would work directly with the Art Director or the Group Design Manager in the creation of technical diagrams in Illustrator, processing of photographs for 
Web or print use, editing of video, and layout of one of our ten 
publications.



The New York offices of Penton Media are conveniently located on 17th Street 
between 7th and 8th Avenues.
