Michael Kors Creative Services Intern

Candidates must have a strong interest in graphic design, photography, and fashion/styling. The intern needs to be resourceful, responsible and a creative problem-solver. Administrative duties include, but are not limited to printing layouts, scanning images, and updating traffic sheets. Intern must be able to successfully comp and create mock ups. Interns may also have the chance to attend or help style photo shoots. Experience with Photoshop is required. Ideally the intern will commit to at least 2 days a week. Candidates must be able to receive college credit for this internship, whether the internship counts as a class, as extra credit, or as a class project for a particular class that he or she is already enrolled in.

PAPress - Design Intern

This internship is an excellent opportunity to work in a creative team and learn more about book design and the publishing industry. Interns will work in the design department and report to the design director. It is essential that the intern have a very strong typographic sense and conceptual design skills. This Spring internship is available for approximately 10 weeks beginning Monday, March 5th, 2012 and continuing to late May. There is a possibility that this internship could lead to a permanent position. Day-to-day responsibilities (which vary from project to project) include: - Developing and extending book design concepts, including interior layouts and cover designs - Designing and creating marketing materials (both print and digital) - Preparing promotional materials for sales conference and conventions - Preparing books for translation into electronic formats (HTML and CSS) - Assisting with design/editorial corrections and typesetting

Story Worldwide Spring Internship

Story Worldwide is looking for a gifted and motivated intern to join our design team for the Spring semester. The intern will assist on a variety of projects, including the production of Endless Vacation magazine, both print and iPad editions. We are seeking someone with a strong interest in publication design, who is also knowledgeable and excited about digital and multi-media formats. Candidates should have a keen sense of design, strong working knowledge of InDesign and Illustrator, and basic knowledge of HTML and Flash. This intern should be available to work three days a week in our midtown New York office from 10AM to 6PM, be able to attend industry events, and will be compensated with a daily food/travel stipend. Esquire magazine (Hearst Corporation) is seeking a junior or senior graphic design student for an internship in the Art Department. The intern will assist in the daily workflow of the magazine. Duties will include: updating layouts, minor imaging work, and some design. Candidates should have an interest in magazine publishing, strong working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop. Duration: Spring Semester Applicants must receive college credit for the internship. You must turn in a letter on college letterhead stating you will receive credit. The letter must be signed by a professor, advisor, or the registrar. This position is unpaid. A commitment of 3 days a week is required, from 10 am to 6 pm (flexible).
