Skiing Magazine Photo Internship

Skiing Magazine Photography Internship

It's a 12-week-long internship (give or take) based at our editorial headquarters in Boulder, Colorado. A stipend is available ($1,200 for three months), as is school credit for current students.

Intern workload includes: assisting in our photo studio and on assignment, photo retouching, coordinating photography, working with our art department to build cohesive features, invoicing, production workflow, and participating in staff meetings. We try to keep the grunt work (shipping, filing, etc) to a minimum. Skiing Magazine is a small staff (four editors and two art directors), so interns work closely with staffers.

Interns should be dedicated, hard-working, conscientious, and fun-loving, with a career interest in photography and editing. A very strong foundation in the CS3 Creative Suite, as well as previous journalism experience--either with local publications or your student newspaper--is required. A passion for the sport of skiing is a definite plus.

Email resume, cover letter, and portfolio to: Niall@skiingmag.com.
