Raul Martinez, New "Creative Consultant" at Vogue

Fashion Week Daily and WWD both reported this morning that Raul Martinez is returning to Vogue to redesign both the magazine and vogue.com in the DD/CD/Creative Consultant role (reports are... evolving). Martinez' magazine CV includes an earlier stint at Vogue in the early 90s, House & Garden under Anna Wintour's tenure, Harper's Bazaar with Kate Betts and Rolling Stone. Reminiscent of Fabien Baron's return to Interview while maintaining his work with Baron & Baron, Martinez will continue as partner at media & branding firm AR New York. While Charles Churchward, who originally replaced Martinez at Vogue, was seen by many in this summer's doc The September Issue, he left his DD position with the magazine in June 2008, and was replaced by Danko Steiner, who was promoted from his AD position. Steiner is leaving the magazine to pursue his photography.
