This summer, I am moving to Hong Kong. And I'm changing, after 25 years from consulting to working for one specific, expanding publication group: Edipresse Asia. With publications in China, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, Edipresse Asia has a small and talented team led by Barrie Goodridge, CEO and Sean Fitzpatrick, group editorial director.

Since print is still robust in this booming part of the world, they are getting a chance to get the digital transformation right. And, I'll get a chance to do what I've always loved doing, design magazines.

Edward Leida Leaves Town & Country

According to FishbowlNY, Edward Leida is leaving Town & Country, after serving as its design director for the past two years. WWD reports that the award-winning Leida -- who overhauled T&C, along with W, Jane and Details -- doesn't have any plans for what's next.

Leida was the design director at W for 25 years. During his time there W was nominated by for a National Magazine Award for Excellence in Design four times. It was also nominated for the SPD's Magazine of the Year in 2007.

A T&C spokesperson told WWD that Leida played a "valuable and important role" and that staffers "wish him the very best."

Fortune has named Brandon Kavulla its creative director.

Kavulla most recently served as Wired US' Creative Director in San Francisco where he over saw a multi platform redesign. Kavulla came to Wired by way of Men's Health and Best Life, he as also worked at Vibe and Spin. I am delighted to announce that Brandon Kavulla will be joining Fortune as our new Creative Director. Brandon is an award-winning, veteran CD who will be an incredibly valuable addition to our team. For the last two years Brandon has served as the creative director of Wired in San Francisco. There he led a cross-platform redesign for print and tablet editions. Brandon has received various honors including three of his titles being nominated for ASMEs in design, the most recent being Wired, as well as Details and Spin. Two of his titles (Vibe and Men's Health) have also won for General Excellence. He is an 9-time gold medal and a 8-time silver medal winner from the Society of Publication Designers. His art direction and design have also been awarded by and appeared in Print, Graphis, How, The Art Director's Club, American Photography, American Illustration, and at Best Life received editorial photograph of the year from American Photo magazine. While at Men's Health, he along with his photo director were the lead feature of PDN magazine's annual "Players" issue highlighting innovators in photography. Under his creative direction Wired also won its first award from the Type Director's club for motion typography. Brandon is a frequent judge for the Society of Publication Designers and ASME and was the co-host of the SPD Gala in 2011. Brandon is originally from Stow, Ohio and attended Kent State University's Visual Communication Design program. He will be back in Manhattan soon with his wife Anne-Marie, daughter Anastasia (6) son Adam (4), and another (Annie says last) one on the way. Please join me in welcoming Brandon.

Anton Ioukhnovets named Art Director at Bloomberg Pursuits

Bloomberg Pursuits, the spinoff from Bloomberg Markets, has added Anton Ioukhnovets to its crew as art director.

Ioukhnovets was most recently with Lotus as its art director. He also spent seven years as GQ's art director. Ioukhnovets will report to Markets' creative director, Siung Tjia.

Alese Pickering has been hired as the new Deputy Art Director for the new Houstonian magazine. She was previously the Associate Art Director at 5280 magazine in Denver.

Additionally, Chris Skiles just started as the Design Director. He was previously the Associate Art Director at Seattle Met magazine.

Houstonian is a new city/regional publication that will be launching in Houston, Texas early 2013.

Scott Dadich Returns to Wired--As Editor in Chief

Scott Dadich has been named editor in chief of Wired, Condé Nast announced today.

Dadich, who is replacing Chris Anderson, comes from the corporate side at Condé--most recently as VP, editorial platforms and design since 2010. Dadich was the CD of Wired from 2006-2010.

He will be working with the digital team to bring all AMI products to the forefront of the competition, first will redesign all the company's websites, then will move to bring the products to tablet/mobile editions.
