Brandon Kavulla named Fortune Creative Director

Fortune has named Brandon Kavulla its creative director.
 
Kavulla most recently served as Wired US' Creative Director in San Francisco where he over saw a multi platform redesign. Kavulla came to Wired by way of Men's Health and Best Lifehe as also worked at Vibe and Spin. Says Fortune Managing Editor Andy Serwer "I am delighted to announce that Brandon Kavulla will be joining Fortune as our new creative director, Brandon is an award-winning, veteran CD who will be an incredibly valuable addition to our team."

Anton Ioukhnovets named Art Director at Bloomberg Pursuits

Bloomberg Pursuits, the spinoff from Bloomberg Markets, has added Anton Ioukhnovets to its crew as art director.
Ioukhnovets was most recently with Lotus as its art director. He also spent seven years as GQ's art director. Ioukhnovets will report to Markets' creative director, Siung Tjia.

Devin Pedzwater, New CD at Italian Vanity Fair



Devin Pedzwater has been named the Creative Director of Italian Vanity Fair.  Formerly, Devin was the Brand Creative Director of SPIN Magazine.

Alese Pickering and Chris Skiles join Houstonian

Alese Pickering has been hired as the new Deputy Art Director for the new Houstonian magazine. She was previously the Associate Art Director at 5280 magazine in Denver. 

Additionally, Chris Skiles just started as the Design Director. He was previously the Associate Art Director at Seattle Met magazine. 

Houstonian is a new city/regional publication that will be launching in Houston, Texas early 2013. 

Scott Dadich Returns to Wired--As Editor in Chief

Scott Dadich has been named editor in chief of Wired, Condé Nast announced today.

Dadich, who is replacing Chris Anderson, comes from the corporate side at Condé--most recently as VP, editorial platforms and design since 2010. Dadich was the CD of Wired from 2006-2010.

Wilbert Gutierrez is the D/D of new AMI Product Design Department

Wilbert Gutierrez has been named Design Director for the newly created Product Design department of American Media (AMI). He will be working with the digital team to bring all AMI products to the forefront of the competition, first will redesign all the company's websites, then will move to bring the products to tablet/mobile editions.

Previously, he was running his own studio, GutzyStudio, after serving as Creative Director for Hollywoodlife.com

Chris Hercik, Expanded Role as CD of Sports Illustrated

Sports Illustrated Creative Director Christopher Hercik will take on creative oversight for all Sports Illustrated web and digital products, it was announced by Time Inc Sports Group Editorial Director Paul Fichtenbaum.  Hercik, who had overseen the creative direction for all SI print and tablet products will expand his portfolio to include all consumer products and brand platforms.

"Chris is the ideal modern-day Creative Director--he's comfortable and intuitive working across all platforms, who brings a gifted and innovative approach to design," said Fichtenbaum
