Scott Dadich Returns to Wired--As Editor in Chief

Scott Dadich has been named editor in chief of Wired, Condé Nast announced today.

Dadich, who is replacing Chris Anderson, comes from the corporate side at Condé--most recently as VP, editorial platforms and design since 2010. Dadich was the CD of Wired from 2006-2010.

Kirby Rodriguez Resurfaces at Hearst's O

In search of yet another new look, O: The Oprah Magazine has hired Kirby Rodriguez, former DD at Conde Nast's Cookie, as its new DD, replacing (Robert) Priest + Grace (Lee).

Since March 2010, Rodriguez has been Associate CD of photography at the retail chain Talbots. Before that he was DD of Cookie, which was nominated for two ASME General Excellence Awards and two SPD Magazine of the Year Awards.

Robert Newman Out at Reader's Digest

Robert Newman posted an announcement on his Facebook page that he was leaving Reader's Digest and being replaced by Dean Abatemarco.

Paul Martinez Returns to Men's Journal

According to sources, Paul Martinez has returned for a second stint as CD at Men's Journal. Martinez had left the Wenner Media magazine to become CD at Maxim a little over a year ago. He was replaced at the time by Benjamen Purvis, who was unexpectedly let go by Wenner last week.

Kory Kennedy, New DD at Entertainment Weekly

EW has just announced that Kory Kennedy, the former DD at Runner's World and Spin, has been hired as the magazine's new DD. He replaces Amid Capeci, who passed away last month.

Tom Alberty, New DD at New York Magazine

Tom Alberty has been appointed the new Design Director for New York Magazine, filling the spot left vacant when Chris Dixon left last fall for the DD spot at Vanity Fair. Alberty has been at GQ with Design Director Fred Woodward since 2004, most recently promoted to Art Director there in 2010.

Emily Kehe, New DD for Fortune

Tom Bodkin Promoted to Deputy ME at The NY Times

While we were shaking off our holiday food coma, Media Decoder reported yesterday that Tom Bodkin, longtime Design Director for The New York Times, has been promoted by new Executive Editor Jill Abramson to Deputy Managing Editor, Design, for the paper. Abramson's note naming Bodkin as "one of my most valued and trusted masthead advisers" can be read in full here.

Corliss Elizabeth Williams, New Sr. Designer at Bloomberg Markets

Corliss Elizabeth Williams is now Senior Designer at Bloomberg Markets Magazine with CD Siung Tjia. She had been Assistant Art Director at TIME Magazine.
