Shortcuts to Success: Make Panels Disappear

Sure, there are huge lists of InDesign keyboard shortcuts out there, but are you going to sit down and memorize them all? We're here to help you learn some handy new ones, one by one, making it easier to add them to your mental list. Show or Hide Panels
tab

If you use a lot of panels when you work, you can get them to disappear, fast. Type the tab key to hide all panels; do it a second time to show them, again.  Just make sure you're not working in live type, or you'll insert a tab character.
