Job Description: Domino is looking for a seasoned designer to play a leadership role in the ideation, presentation, and execution of all creative concepts across all channels of the Domino brand. The Design Director is a new position in Domino’s art department reporting to the Executive Creative Director created to engage our passionate community in our digital and social content to a large and growing global audience seeking personal home and style content.
The Design Director will lead the Domino art department in conceptualizing, designing, producing, and executing all visual content for digital and print, and collateral materials for marketing, sales, and events teams. This person will also help build and lead a talented team of designers, editors and photographers to develop creative solutions that drive traffic and engagement to our site.
The Design Director will lead an exciting redesign of the Domino brand across print, digital UX, social and offline experiences.
Domino’s Art Department is responsible for the overall aesthetic of Domino brand which is inclusive of: website, print magazine, promotional programs, advertorials, sales presentations, experiences, and brand partnerships.
Resource these initiatives with agility through a combination of hiring a team, leveraging internal resources and bringing in external experts and partners.
Create and elevate the Domino brand creative; helping to develop the look, feel and tone.
Work with the Creative Director to curate all creative concepts, photography, design, typography, artistic and styling direction for all creative channels; including traditional print/OOH, web, email, social, video, and mobile marketing initiatives.
Develop a creative roadmap for this powerful lifestyle brand that breaks through the noise and positions us globally for continued market leadership.
Collaborate within the Marketing and PR teams to develop strategies and implement creative tactics for the brand that translate into direct brand communication and public relations efforts.
Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams, particularly Marketing, Tech, Studio Design and Operations.
Manage the creative process from concept to completion.
Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met.
Meet with senior leadership to present campaign strategies and solutions.
Oversee, review work and provide feedback to the creative and art team.
Remain actively involved in hiring and training creative staff.
Minimum of 5–7+ years of design experience, preferably with time spent in digital media with experience managing a team.
Strong understanding of social media, digital and print design and an extensive knowledge of digital and UX design.
This qualified candidate should be a well organized self-starter with experience in both the print and digital space an enthusiasm and passion for design with sharp attention to detail and a sophisticated eye for typography and photography.
Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is required.
