What you'll do:

  • Serve as adjunct to the Art Dept, producing layouts and graphic elements as needed

  • Prepare template layouts for designers

  • Format and attaches text and hi-res images

  • Traffic all images to Prepress for the Photo department

  • Check every layout for fit, style, resolution and overall accuracy

  • Prepare, move, track articles and layouts through each status in K4, circulate proofs

  • Make and tracks revisions

  • Export closed pages to the Dalim (production) workflow

  • Produce digital issue PDFs for digital newsstands and platforms

  • Create and update design libraries and master templates

  • Supply internal departments with PDFs of edit layouts as needed

  • Help to troubleshoot K4 and InDesign problems

  • Prepare some editorial images for web and social media
