T magazine has an annual Culture issue and this year the issue is about Japan and its cultural influence around the world.

It features six of the country’s icons, one of whom is nonhuman.

The text below is from T magazine’s instagram post:
”Artist and graphic designer @tadanori_yokoo made a collage featuring classic Japanese monsters (with Godzilla as the star) for his cover. The other subjects — the @sanaa_jimusho architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa, the author and television star @mariekondo, the artist Takashi Murakami (@takashipom) and the photographer @yasumasamorimura — were shot by the photographer Piczo (@picpicpiczo) in various Tokyo locations at night, accompanied by models in spring looks from Japanese fashion designers and wearing replicas of ancient Japanese masks, many of them from the tradition of Noh theater, which dates to the 14th century.
