Design Director, The Daily Front Row

Job Description: The Daily Front Row is seeking a freelance Design Director. You will be responsible for 19 issues a year (6 daily issues during each season of NYFW, 1 Los Angeles issue, and 6 issues of The Daily Summer, our glossy Hamptons-centric summer publication.) 

You will be working with a freelance art dept of 1-2 other designers during shipping, and a photo editor. 

Other responsibilities include designing proposals and event collateral for Daily events, along with some social media.

Job Requirements: You should be able to work quickly as the pace is fast, have strong organizational skills, and an eye for fashion. Ideally someone with previous fashion experience who is familiar with the industry and its players. Enthusiasm and a sense of humor also a big plus.

Job Description: DFWChild seeks a full-time in-house editorial designer to join our creative team. This designer will work alongside and under the direction of the Creative Director. Job Description: The Pegasus Review is a new medical literary journal out of Stanford University. We plan to launch this summer, first online and then in print. 

As we plan our launch, we are seeking a graphic designer and web developer to help build our platform from the ground up. Our publication’s visual aesthetic should reflect its editorial voice. As such, our ideal designer is someone who shares our passion for crafting beautiful stories about medical culture, medical training, and the experience of illness and healing. That said, we prize professionalism and skill above all else, and welcome any applicant who can help us translate our vision to print and the web.

The compensation for this job is a $6000 for the initial platform build, and then $1500/year for ongoing consultation services.
