For our fourth SPD Playlist, we asked Out Magazine's Photo Director, Greg Garry to put something together. When creating this playlist, he decided to add songs that he'd play at a photo shoot. Here's what he chose for his high energy, jam-packed 38 song playlist:
Greg Garry: Music is my religion. I always have it blaring wherever I am, especially on photo shoots, where it’s a useful tool. Some people really hate to have their picture taken and you wind up with stiff, lifeless DMV-like shots. Treat a shoot like you’re hosting the best party in town, spin some fun tunes and your subjects will loosen up and have a good time. 70s Disco and 80s R&B and New Wave works wonders on movie stars, models, politicians, it even gets Oprah jumping for joy. Put this on at your next photo shoot and at least YOU will have a blast. See also; champagne.
