Design Concept: Davian-Lynn Hopkins
Join us on Thursday, May 7th for SPD’s Kickback & Connect Happy Hour in Washington, D.C. From magazines to motion design and from newsrooms to nonprofits, if you make things in D.C., you’re invited. This is a low-key happy hour bringing together designers and creatives across disciplines in the DMV to kickback, connect, and share ideas—no panels, no pitches, no pressure.
For May’s get together, designer, author, and educator Reginé Gilbert will be signing copies of her book Inclusive Design for a Digital World: Designing with Accessibility in Mind (2nd edition). Reginé Gilbert is a Systems and Change Strategist, NYU professor, and author of five books. Her work focuses on how organizations actually function, and where human judgment must remain central as AI reshapes how we design, communicate, and create. She is the founder of Access Blueprint®. She wrote the first edition in 2019. She knew she could do better. So she did.
We hope to see you there!
