Designers for new digital travel initiative, The Washington Post

Job Description: The Washington Post seeks two designers for a new digital travel initiative. These roles require well-rounded visual journalists who can design, illustrate and art-direct across platforms.

Job Requirements: We are looking for designers who are excited about travel journalism. Successful candidates must be highly organized and able to produce quality work in a fast-paced environment. These designers will be expected to design or illustrate social images for several stories, plan Instagram posts and work on longer-term projects. Designers will work closely with the rest of our team, so a collaborative spirit is a must.

Ideal candidates will have a portfolio demonstrating a strong use of typography and photography, the creation of original illustration and experience directing illustrators. Front-end development skills would be a plus.

This job is based in our Washington newsroom and is not eligible for remote work.
