Art Director, Weight Watchers Magazine

Job Description: Long-established and consumer-beloved health & lifestyle brand is on the rise! Weight Watchers International is seeking a talented and dynamic NYC-based Food-centric Art Director for its award-winning bi-monthly food and lifestyle magazine. This position reports to the Creative Director.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide creative visual ideas and solutions for editorial stories and pages, with an eye and strategy for creating assets that can live cross-functionally & multi-channel (digital, web, mobile, social, video, etc.)
  • Help seek out and direct top NY photographers & stylists: food, lifestyle, fashion & beauty
  • Design those stories and pages 
  • Supervise stories through all phases of editorial production, color correction, etc.
  • Manage, communicate with, and inspire team of experienced designers

Job Requirements:

  • Strong creative design and typographic skills
  • Strong editorial food background: a must
  • Must be able to effectively collaborate, communicate, and present: up, down and across multiple positions and departments

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experienced magazine Art Director or Creative Director
  • Skilled in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Experience designing, managing, or overseeing digital editions or web: a strong plus
