Assistant Art Director, Fast Company

Job Description: Love magazine design, but also have a passion for digital, branding, and events? Fast Company is searching for an ambitious Assistant Art Director to join its editorial team. We thrive in an exciting environment in which you might, in any given week, design a feature opener for the magazine, work on environmental graphics for an event, and help produce a slew of posts for social.

Job Requirements: The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in an editorial or studio environment, strong typographic chops, and razor-sharp ideas. He or she can clearly articulate thoughts to colleagues who are both in and outside of the design field. The candidate should be collaborative, yet self-sufficient. Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator are required; proficiency in Sketch and After Effects are a plus, and skills as an illustrator are a major bonus.
